April Picture of the Month

RSPB Bempton Cliffs - 17.6.18

I'd just finished a morning Gannet boat diving session below the main breeding colony at Bempton cliffs organised by Gary Jones with Steve Race of YCN, it's was a cracking day and to finished off I'm spending remainder of the afternoon land side at RSPB Bempton to get a different perspective.

RSPB Bempton on a sunny day is just packed and for those people lucky enough not having to work you are well worth considering making any visit a weekday. I'm not going to review the trip here but you can read an account by searching and clicking "Gannet"

One of the stand out images from the afternoon for this POTM is this portrait image of a Gannet framed by the fantastic blue of the sea which contrasts well with white and yellow Gannet.
