Woodland Spectacular
First day of the trip and it's an early morning start to some nearby woodland that's attracting quite a lot of woodland species usually not easy to get decent shots of in the more populated areas of the great metropolis. Jay, GSW, Jackdaws, tits are in abundance so there's loads to go at, I just wish they weren't so close !
There are maybe up to eight Great Spotted Woodpecker's all squabbling with each other for the free offerings put down by locals, but the best tactic I've found is just to wait until they've had their fill when they will just sit giving loads of photo ops.
